Morrisville was named after Jeremiah Morris who donated land to the NC railroad. Due to location and the railroad, Morrisville continued to thrive. Situated between in-between Durham and Raleigh, makes the town an ideal location short commutes into RTP, Raleigh, Durham and the airport.
Morrisville is a smaller town for both land and population than some of the other Raleigh suburbs (only 9.3 square miles), but still has all the conveniences.
There are many large companies who call Morrisville home. Lenovo, PPD, Credit Suisse, Spectrum and NetApp are just a few of the largest employers.
